Happy trails to you...

I have to admit the last month or so has been an interesting one. From a post on Wonkette to a full-page story in The Hill. The reaction to Blah Blah has exceeded our wildest imagination. In reality I can't take too much credit for all of the interest - I posted some stories from friends that don't really like their jobs on the Hill and you suffered through my poor attempts at wit and humor to read them.

Deleting the blog was one of the hardest things I've had to do in a while. I'm sure someone out there will find it an act of cowardice but the reality is that I am not Wonkette, I don't plan on doing this for a living and therefore even the smallest chance that a friend or I could lose our jobs because of what was posted just isn't worth it. As I was deleting I read back through some of your comments and they make deleting Blah Blah all the more difficult because I know that the stories really resonated with some of you (others of you are just assholes - I KID, I KID!!!)

Now I know conventional wisdom is that no one even reads The Hill but I just don't want to take the risk.

So, my next drink is dedicated to all of you who emailed the link to friends and spread the word. It was a quick but wild ride and I have all of you to thank.
